Biography
Alex Ruby is a recovering trial attorney who spent fifteen years inside the courtroom navigating legal battles and complex investigations. Drawing directly from that real-world experience, Alex writes sharp, gripping psychological thrillers centered on institutional betrayal, systemic corruption, and the dangerous truths hiding in plain sight.
She writes about women who refuse to back down — sometimes with rage, sometimes with dark humor, always with purpose.
Alex attended the Seton Hill MFA program in Writing Popular Fiction.
Born in Toronto and having lived in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., she now resides on Hilton Head Island, where she runs a local nonprofit, plays pickleball, writes fiction, and causes good trouble.
